PM constitutes committee for resolving Karachi issues

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Sunday constituted a committee headed by Minister for Law and Justice Farogh Naseem for resolving the Karachi issues. The premier formulated the committee to address various public issues while chairing a meeting to review the cleanliness drive and other development projects in Karachi. It is pertinent to mention here that the committee to formulate short, medium and long term plans to resolve the issues facing by the residents of the metropolis. The members of committee would include federal ministers for maritime affairs, the FWO director general and others. The committee was directed to submit its early recommendations on the proposed plans. The meeting discussed many issues including supply of clean drinking water, sewerage, cleanliness, mass transit system and others. During the meeting, Pm Khan expressed his serious concerns over the issues in Karachi. He said that the federal government would play its full role in the resolution of these issues. “Pakistan’s future is linked with Karachi. The people of Karachi had to suffer due to the mismanagement and negligence of the previous rulers,” he maintained. He said the federal government wanted resolution all the problems of residents. The meeting was attended by federal ministers Barrister Farogh Naseem, Makhdoom Khusru Bakhtiar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Dr Zafar Mirza, Aftab Hussain Siddiqui MNA, Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Haleem Adil Siddiqui, members of Sindh Assembly, director general FWO Major General Inam Haider Malik and other senior officials.
