PM reaches Islamabad after completing five-day successful visit to China

XI’AN, China (92 News) - Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday reached Islamabad after completing his five-day historic and successful visit to China.

His visit proved to be an important milestone with regard to strengthening bilateral relations, trade ties, strategic partnership and the start of the second phase of CPEC between Pakistan and China.

Expressing his views before departure, the prime minister said that the recent visit had added a new dimension to the bilateral relations between both countries. “I am grateful to the Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Chiang for their hospitality. The friendship between Pakistan and China is eternal and unparalleled. Under the second phase of the CPEC, Chinese businessmen and investors met with Pakistani businessmen and investors,” he said.

The prime minister said that China's development in information technology, agriculture, minerals and other sectors is worth emulating. “The people of both countries will benefit from the economic partnership. The positive developments made during the recent visit to China will have long-lasting effects,” he declared.

Shaanxi Deputy Governor Chen Chunjiang, senior Chinese and Pakistani diplomatic officials bid farewell to the prime minister.
