Army chief strengthened PM stance by talking about economic stability: Firdous

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has strengthened the stance of Prime Minister Imran Khan by talking about economic stability. Talking to the media on Friday, she said that the nation and the Army had jointly defeated terrorism. “The country is facing the challenge of economic autonomy. The balance of wealth is in disorder,” she added. The special assistant said that they would establish the balance of power under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. She appealed to Ulema to teach the lesson of honesty to the nation and inform them about the responsibility of paying the tax. Earlier, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said for the first time in the history of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has turned the national duty of tax recovery into a movement. Appreciating the prime minister, the special assistant took her twitter and said, “Credit goes to PM Imran Khan for turning the national duty of tax recovery into a movement for the first time in history of the country. This is what patriotism is.” In another tweet, she said that the prime minister has proved that being a nation we should wage a struggle to steer the country out quagmire. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the prime minister has taken bold decisions keeping in view the national interests. “Even the political opposition has recognised that once we go through these tough times with courage, we will have a bright future,” she added.
Can’t come out of loans’ quagmire if taxes not paid: PM
Earlier, in an interview, Imran Khan has said that they cannot come out of the quagmire of the loans if they did not pay the taxes. He said that the people are afraid of paying the tax for lack of confidence in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
He said that corruption is an outcome of price-hike and unemployment. “We will introduce a new plan in the next 48 hours.” The prime minister said that the British had enslaved the people of the sub-continent and subjected them to cruelty. “The former rulers adopted the British-like lifestyle,” he said. He said that his objective is to take the money launderers to jail. “A corrupt person cannot appear in a TV show in the UK,” he added. Imran Khan said that Pakistan’s defence minister was getting salary from Dubai. “A person sitting a house worth Rs900 million says he is not a Pakistani,” he added.
