PPP leaders urge to stop media trial of party leadership

KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leaders on Friday strongly criticized the rumours about the arrest of former president Asif Ali Zardari, saying that the media trial of party leadership should be stopped. Speaking to the journalists outside the banking court during the appearance of Zardari and his siter Faryal Talpur, the PPP leaders said that Zardari would be acquitted from all the cases. During appearance of Zardari in money laundering case, Khursheed Shah termed that the media trial of PPP is being conducted, adding that need to stop this trial. He also said that he does not about the JIT report and none knows what is mentioned in the report. Rehman Malik said that the government should stop the revengeful actions against the PPP. “Till the investigation against Zardari and Talpur is not complete the allegations levelled against them are just allegations and the case should not be discussed till it is in court,” Malik added. On the occasion, Lateef Khosa said that these are all political based cases and trespect courts and come here with the hope that justice is served. He added that the rumours were spread related to the arrest as negative propaganda. The large number of party members and workers (Jiyalas) gathered at the premises of the banking court during the hearing Zardari in money laundering case. Khursheed Shah, Rehman Malik, Lateef Khosa, Qaim Ali Shah and Nisar Khoroo welcomed Zardari during the appearance in interim bail. The PPP workers were also seen in large number outside the banking court, however, they also raised slogans in support of Zardari.
