PPP's Satfraz Bugti elected as Balochistan CM unopposed

QUETTA (92 News) - Sarfraz Bugti of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was elected as the chief minister of Balochistan unopposed on Friday.

No candidate received the nomination papers against Sarfraz Bugti. The announcement will be formally made during a session of the Balochistan Assembly on Saturday.

Balochistan Governor Abdul Wali Khan Kakar will administer the oath to the newly-elected chief minister.

Earlier, the PPP had nominated Satfraz Bugti for slot of Balochistan chief minister. The approval was accorded in a meeting presided over by PPP top leader Asif Ali Zardari.

Talking to the media, Sarfraz Bugti has thanked Asif Zardari on his nomination. He said that they would resolve the problems of Balochistan through dialogue. "We will take all the people along with us," he added.
