PPP's Yousaf Raza Gillani elected as senator from Islamabad with 204 votes

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has been elected as senator from Islamabad with 204 votes.

His rival Ilyas Meharban of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) got 88 votes.

From Sindh, PPP's Aslam Abro and Jam Saif Dharejo won the Senate seats with 57 and 58 votes respectively.

From Balochistan, Abdul Qudus Bizenjo was declared successful with 23 votes. PML-N's Dostain Domki was elected as senator with 17 votes. JUI's Abdul Shakoor was declared successful with 16 votes.
