ISLAMABAD (APP) - The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to bullish trend, on Wednesday, gaining 335.07 points, a positive change of 0.43 percent, closing at 78,275.65 points against 77,940.58 points on the last working day.

A total of 469,756,007 shares were traded during the day as compared to 292,186,284 shares the previous day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 19.777 billion against Rs 11.414 billion on the last trading day.

Around 454 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 149 of them recorded gains and 248 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 57 companies remained unchanged.

Gold rates dip by Rs 900 per tola to Rs 240,600

The price of per tola of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 900 and was sold at Rs 240,600 on Wednesday against its sale at Rs 241,500 on last trading day. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also decreased by Rs 771 to Rs 206,276 from Rs 207,047 whereas that of 10 grams 22 karat gold went down to Rs 189,086 from Rs 189,793.

The price of per tola and 10 grams silver remained constant at Rs 2,850 and Rs 2,443.41 respectively. The price of gold in the international market decreased by US$13 to US$2,313 from US$2,326.
