PSX stays bullish with gain of 1,129 points, closes at 55,391 points

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The 100-index of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continue with bullish trend on Friday, gaining 1,129.94 points, a positive change of 2.08 percent, closing at 55,391.37 points against 54,261.43 points the previous day.

A total of 640,836,781 shares valuing Rs21.146 billion were traded during the day as compared to 482,744,893 shares valuing Rs20.129 billion the previous day.

As many as 380 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 260 of them recorded gains and 103 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 17 companies remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, the per tola price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 1,300 and was sold at Rs 213,100 compared to its sale at Rs 211,800 on last trading day.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also increased by Rs1,114 to Rs182,698 from Rs181,584 whereas the prices of 10 gram 22 karat gold went up to Rs167,474 from Rs166,452, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.

The price of per tola and ten gram Silver remained stagnant at Rs2,580 and 2,211.93 respectively. The price of gold in the international market increased by $7 to $1975 from $1,968, the Association reported.
