PSX witnesses bullish trend, gains 586 points

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bullish trend on Monday, gaining 586.79 points, a positive change of 0.98 percent, closing at 60,459.75 points against 59,872.96 points the previous trading day.

A total of 261,799,826 shares valuing Rs.9.907 billion were traded during the day as compared to 314,247,768 shares valuing Rs.12.243 billion the last day.

Some 330 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 170 of them recorded gains and 139 sustained losses, whereas the share prices of 21 remained unchanged.

Gold rates increase by Rs1,100 per tola to Rs 214,300

Meanwhile, the per tola price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 1,100 and was sold at Rs 214,300 compared to its sale at Rs 213,200 on last trading day. 

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also increased by Rs 943 to Rs 183,728 from Rs 182,785 whereas the prices of 10 gram 22 karat gold went up to Rs 168,417 from Rs 167,553.

The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained stagnant at Rs 2,550 and Rs 2,186.21 respectively. The price of gold in the international market increased by US$8 to US$2,042 from US$2,034.
