ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The PTI-backed candidates announced to join the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) on Monday.

Addressing a joint press conference with Allama Raja Nasir and Sahibzada Hamid Raza, PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali said that the PTI-backed candidates will join the Sunni Ittehad Council in the National Assembly as well as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assemblies.

He said that they would submit the application to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to get the reserved seats.

PTI secretary general Omar Ayub Khan said that they wanted unity of the nation. "After coming in the government, our top priority will be the release of the PTI founder and workers," he declared.

Allama Nasir said that the elections were delayed unconstitutionally. "The PTI was deprived of the election symbol of 'bat'. Our movement to save the country will continue. We will remain with them in the difficult times," he added.
