PTI chairman deliberately solemnized 'nikkah' with Bushra Bibi during 'Iddat', states Aon Ch

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI former leader Aon Chaudhary, in his statement before court, said that the PTI chairman had deliberately solemnized the 'nikkah' with Bushra Bibi during her 'Iddat'.

He said that the PTI chairman had stated he would become the prime minister if he solemnized the nikkah during the Iddat.

"The PTI chairman had stated that he would again solemnize the nikkah with Bushra Bibi after the completion of the Iddat period. I was told that the Iddat was completing between February 14 and 18 in 2018. Mufti Saeed solemnized the verbal nikkah. I and Zulfi Bukhari were the witnesses. When asked by Mufti Saeed about the divorce, the PTI chairman replied that all requirements had been fulfilled," he stated.

He said that Nikkahkhwan Mufti Saeed, in his statement, stated that according to him, the nikkah solemnized on January 1, 2018 was not as per Shariah and the ceremony was illegal. "The PTI chairman and Bushra Bibi had deliberately solemnized the nikkah against the Shariah," he added.

The court adjourned the hearing till December 2.
