PTI"s Sibtain Khan elected as Punjab Assembly speaker with 185 votes

LAHORE (92 News) - Sabtain Khan of the PTI was elected as speaker of the Punjab Assembly. 

The newly-elected speaker took the oath of his office.

During the secret ballot, government's candidate Sabatin Khan got 185 votes while PML-N's Saiful Malook Khokhar got 175 votes.

Maulvi Ghiyasuddin of Muslim League-N, Chaudhry Masood of PTI, independent member Chaudhry Nisar did not take part in the voting.

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi congratulated the newly-elected Speaker Sabatin Khan and expressed full confidence in him.

Panel of Chair Waseem Barozai administered the oath to newly-elected Speaker Sibtain Khan.
