Punjab police foil terrorist attack in Mianwali: spokesperson

MIANWALI (92 News) - The Punjab police on Monday foiled a terrorist attack in Mianwali.

The Punjab police spokesperson said that about 12-13 terrorists attacked the Qabool Khan check-post with modern weapons from three sides. "The police jwans deployed at the check-post foiled the attack with the best strategy and modern technology, making the terrorists to flee," he added.

Meanwhile, Punjab IGP Dr Usman Anwar appreciated the police team for foiling the terrorist attack. "The Punjab police jawans deployed at the border check-posts are the frontline soldiers against terrorism. The Punjab police have always foiled the nefarious designs of the enemy by sacrificing the precious lives," he added.

He said that they would not allow the terrorists to succeed and root out this menace from the society.
