Punjabi film 'Maujan Hi Maujan' cast gets a rousing welcome at Kartarpur

NAROWAL (92 News) - A delegation from Lollywood comprising veteran filmmaker Syed Noor, well known comic artistes Iftikhar Thakur and Nasir Chinioti and executive director IMGC (Distribution Club) welcomed the star cast of international Punjabi film 'Maujan hi Maujan' at the historic site Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, Narowal.

The Indian artistes included Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, Karamjit Anmol, Tannu Grewal and Jimmy Sharma. They met the media after performing their rituals.

The visiting artistes acknowledged the warm hospitality of Pakistani delegation and thanked for providing the opportunity to interact with Pakistani media. They said that such interaction and exchanges will strengthen the mutual relations for the promotion of love, peace and brotherhood.

Gippy Grewal said that there is no substitute for the love and affection received from Pakistan, so the desire to come to Pakistan keeps their hearts restless every moment. Binnu Dhillon said that the land of Punjab is home to noble saints and loving lively people, and to present a gift to their hospitality, he is presenting 'Maujan Hi Maujan', which will grace the cinemas on Friday (October 20) along with the rest of the world. The film will have a simultaneous release with the entire world and it will provide the quality entertainment to movie lovers.

Veteran film maker Syed Noor said that the grand success of Punjabi films in Pakistani cinemas is a reflection of the fact that joint productions are need of the hour and both industries as well as artistes will get benefit through joint film ventures. Iftikhar Thakur and Nasir Chinioti, who have shown their skills in various international Punjabi films, said that people are eager to watch quality films. They said that with advanced film making technology, better stories and latest resources, the talent of Pakistani artists is involved, the production of quality films like 'Carry On Jatta' and 'Legend of Maula Jatt' will give meaningful entertainment to film lovers besides strengthening the local industry.

IMGC (Distribution Club) executive director Sheikh Abid Rasheed said that 'Carry on Jatta 3' is the highest grossing Punjabi film in Pakistan last year after 'Legend of Maula Jatt'. "'Maujan Hi Maujan' is a quality film full of family entertainment presented by same banner, film has received censor clearance from provincial and federal boards and it will grace the cinemas on Friday. 'Maujan Hi Maujan' will provide quality entertainment to the moviegoers in the theaters and help alleviate the difficulties of the cinema industry, he concluded.
