Renowned Indian singer Pankaj Udhas dies at 72

NEW DEHLI (92 News) - Renowned Indian singer Pankaj Udhas passed away after a protracted illness on Monday. He was 72.

According to a statement issued on the social media, his family said: “With a heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness.”

His renowned songs include ‘Chitthi Aayi Hai’ and 'Chandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera'. In 2006, the Indian government had awarded Pankaj Udhas the Padam Shri Award.
