Russia offers modern machinery to Pakistan to enhance agricultural productivity

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Aleksei Gruzdev has said that Russia will provide modern agricultural machinery to Pakistan in order to boost crop yields and enhance agricultural productivity.

The Russian minister stated these remarks during a meeting with Minister for Industries, Production, and National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain in Islamabad on Thursday (today).

During the meeting, both sides emphasised a balance of trade between the two countries.

On the occasion, Rana Tanveer threw light on the importance of modern agricultural machinery to boost crop yields and enhance agricultural productivity, stating that the government will provide all facilities to Russian investors in Pakistan.

Earlier on Wednesday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk arrived in Pakistan on a two-day visit.

The deputy prime minister, who was accompanied by a high-level delegation, was warmly welcomed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali and Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) Shafqat Ali Khan.
