Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow

ISLAMABAD (92News) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk will lead a high-level delegation on a two-day Pakistan visit starting from Wednesday (tomorrow).

The Foreign Office said Tuesday in a statement that Alexei Overchuk will hold important meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and his counterpart Ishaq Dar.

“Pakistan and Russia enjoy cordial relations based on goodwill, amity, and trust, which is reflected in the multi-faceted bilateral cooperation, including in trade, energy, and connectivity,” the Foreign Office added.

Informed sources say that Russia and Pakistan are set to sign trade agreements in different sectors, including finance, energy, industry, etc.

It is to be noted here that this is the first highest-level visit from an official of the Russian Federation after many years.
