Sarkand SHO among four cops booked for receiving bribe from two cricketers

KARACHI (92 News) - Four policemen, including the Sarkand SHO, were booked for receiving bribe from cricketers Sohaib Maqsood and Amir Yamin.

Amir Yamin, in a social media post, stated they were going to Multan after playing a match in Karachi when the police stopped, frisked and detained them. He alleged that later the police released them after receiving Rs8,000 as bribe.

The Sindh IGP took notice of the incident and sought details of the incident. The Benazirabad DIG conducted an inquiry into the incident and found the policemen guilty.

The accused cops have been suspended after registering a case against them.
