SC rejects plea to form full court to hear case regarding civilians' trial in military courts

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected the plea for forming the full court to hear the case pertaining to the trial of civilians in military courts.

A six-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial announced the reserved verdict.

The court ruled that the same bench will hear the case.

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked that the establishment of the full court is not possible before September. "Judges' private activities are also suspended due to this case. A full court was formed after suspending the benches twice," he observed.

The CJP remarked that they would continue to work whether someone likes it orr not. "Time will decide that who was wrong or right," he observed.

During the hearing, the attorney general contended that the arrest people were given the right to fair trial and their relatives are allowed to meet them.
