SC rejects plea to withdraw petition seeking nullification of Feb 8 elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court rejected the plea to withdraw the petition seeking nullification of the February 8 elections.

Hearing the plea on Monday, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa ordered to produce the petitioner at all costs. He remarked that the petitioner file a petition for personal publicity and later disappear.

He ruled that the court will try the case. "Mockery of the SC cannot be made this way."

The court also issued notices to Brig (retd) Ali Khan, the petitioner, through the Defence Ministry.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing until February 21.
