ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court summoned Faisal Vawda and Mustafa Kamal, issuing them the contempt of court notices.

The court also ordered them to submit a written reply within two weeks.

Hearing the suo motu notice of the press conference of Faisal Vawda on Friday, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that they are summoning both persons so that they may criticize the judiciary face-to-face.

"I have taken the oath of the institution, not personality. It is not service to the country to defame the institutions. One who has arguments should come and make us silent through his arguments," he observed.

The CJP remarked that apparently the press conference by Faisal Vawda is a contempt of court. "The Article 19 of the Constitution gives the freedom of expression, but it does not allow the contempt of court," he observed.
