SHIKARPUR (92 News) – Two policemen including the station head officer (SHO) and assistant sub-inspector were martyred and three sustained bullet wounds during an encounter with dacoits in Shah Belo area, Shikarpur. According to details garnered, the encounter took place in the limits of Lakhi Ghulam Shah Police Station, Shah Belo area, resulting in martyrdom of Station House Officer Ghulam Murtaza Mirani and Assistant Sub Inspector Zulfikar Panhwar. A huge contingent of police was called and the area was cordoned off due to the encounter. The injured policemen were identified as ASI Jehanzeb, Saddam Dayo and Rasool Bux Lohar.
Three dacoits killed in alleged encounter in Karachi
On Marach 6, three robbers were killed in an alleged encounter in Gulshan-e-Jamal area. The dacoits were depriving the people of their valuables when a police reached there. On seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire which was retaliated. As a result, three dacoits were injured and taken to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
Dacoits shoot two people dead on resistance in Multan
Earlier, Dacoits killed two people on resistance in Mati Til area. Five dacoits barged into the house of Dr Moeen and held the family hostage. They started collecting valuables. Locals gathered there when the family members offered resistance. At this, the dacoits opened fire at the people and fled. Four people were injured and shifted to Nishtar Hospital. However, Zulfiqar, 44, and Bashir Ahmed, 45, succumbed to their wounds. Muhammad Mursleen, 30, and Wazir Khan, 52, are being treated in hospital. The police have started investigations and looking for the dacoits.
