SIC candidate Mahmood Achakzai seeks postponement of presidential elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Mahmood Khan Achakzai, a candidate backed by the Sunni Ittehad Council, has sought the postponement of presidential elections scheduled to be held on Saturday.

In a letter written to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday, he said that several reserved seats were vacant in the National and provincial assemblies.

"The presidential elections should be postponed until completion of the electoral college," he added.
