Tributes paid to Pakistan's first PM Liaquat Ali Khan on 72nd martyrdom anniversary

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan's first prime minister Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan was remembered on his 72nd martyrdom anniversary on Monday.

Liaquat Ali Khan was martyred in 1951 during a public meeting in Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh. He continued to pray for the solidarity of Pakistan till his last breath.

He holds distinction of being the right hand man of the Founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He was awarded the titles of 'Quaid-e-Millat' and 'Shaheed-e-Millat'.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has paid tribute to the country’s first PM Liaquat Ali Khan.

In a message on the social media platform, he said: “Liaquat Ali Khan was the symbol of sacrifice, simplicity, and decency who, along with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and others, led the struggle for Pakistan. Let’s pay homage to his contribution and vision.”
