United strategy to be adopted for opposing budget in Parliament: Shehbaz
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said that the opposition will adopt united strategy for opposing budget in the Parliament.
Speaking about the party’s parliamentary meeting, the PML-N president said that Nawaz was visibly distraught over the current situation of the country and had issued directives to deal with the budget conundrum according to the wishes of the nation and their best interest.
Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his stance on the ‘anti-people’ budget and expressed resolve to not let it pass in the parliament when tabled. He also revealed that the PML-N will attend tomorrow’s All Parties Conference (APC) in the form of a contingent.
The opposition leader also mentioned that the jailed PML-N supremo was in high spirits and delivered his good wishes to the party workers. He also slammed on the ban imposed over meeting the deposed former prime minister in jail who has been incarcerated over corruption charges and inquiries.
It was reported that the JUI-F chief could not contact with Akhtar Mengal due to his foreign trip. However, Fazlur Rehman said that Akhtar Mengal assured to attend the opposition’s conference meeting.
A 10-member delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) led by its president Shahbaz Sharif and vice-president Maryam Nawaz will attend the APC. Maryam Nawaz reached Islamabad for the purpose.
The PML-N delegation comprising Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Raja Zafarul Haq, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Amir Muqam, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Shah Muhammad Shah and Rana Sana Ullah will participate in the APC.
JUI-F chief phones opposition leaders, invites to attend APC
The JUI-F chief telephoned Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif, vice president Maryam Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and other opposition leaders.
According to the reports, the JUI-F chief also phoned to Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan, Hasil Bizenjo and Mahmood Khan Achakzai. During the telephonic conversation, Maulana Fazlur Rehman invited all the opposition leaders to attend All Parties Conference (APC) scheduled to be held on June 26.
