Why govt ministers’ not being arrested in accountability process, asks Kiara

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday expressed reservations over transparency in accountability process, asking that why the government ministers’ are being ignored and not arrested. Addressing to the journalists, the PPP senior leader stated that there is no transparency in accountability process, adding that those with the incumbent government have cases registered against them. “Why are the government ministers’ being ignored and are not arrested during the accountability process. Kiara questioned, “What has party co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari done wrong.” He explained that Zardari only asked from the institutions to work under their jurisdictions, adding that they have no fear to face jails. “The incumbent rulers have no idea that if the democratic process derailed then how many sacrifices to be needed,” he said. He also asked that the NAB is investigating against the government and its allies but there is no arrest has been made against them. “If the arrest has to come under investigations then this process should be follow for the government and its allies,” the PPP leader remarked. He further said that all the state institutions are respectable; however, the parliament should be respected. “Neither we are asking any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) from anyone nor anyone has such a value to give the NRO,” Qamar Zaman Kiara explained.
