ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, while hearing the land allotment case of Forestry Department, has remarked that why those having no right to rule are at the helm. Expressing his disappointment, he remarked that the Sindh government had not followed the order issued by the court on October 30. He said that the Forestry Department land is being allotted on the orders of the chief minister. “He (Sindh CM) should resign if he does not want do work,” he remarked. The CJP questioned the officers whether the Forestry Department land had been retrieved. “The court will not delay the matter. If Malik Riaz wants to speak he should also come,” he said. He said that he had not considered the Sindh government would accept the illegal work and would not take action. The petitioner told court that Forestry Department’s 11,000 acres in Karachi and 4,000 acres in Nawabshah was given to Bahria Town. “The entire land was given under instructions from former president,” he contended. Justice Ejazul Hassan questioned how the Forestry Department land was allotted to Bahria Town. “Thousands acres of land has been encroached. Why does the government not retrieve the land?” he queried. Justice Faisal Arab remarked that the Forestry Department land is being allotted on the orders of the chief minister. The court sought a reply from the Sindh government and summoned all parties on January 8.
