19 dangerous prisoners escape from Poonch jail, jail superintendent among 8 officials arrested

RAWALAKOT (92 News) - As many as 19 prisoners escaped from Poonch jail after making the jail staff hostage on Sunday.

After the incident, the AJK government transferred the Home special secretary. Moreover, the jail superintendent and seven officials were suspended and arrested on the charge of negligence.

Meanwhile, an inquiry committee has been formed to conduct investigations into the incident. The authorities have released the pictures of the prisoners who escaped from the jail and launched a search operation in Rawalakot and other districts.
