92 News’ campaign #boycottdollar and #MadeinPakistan lauded

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Hundreds of Twitter users have highly appreciated 92 News’ campaign ‘#boycottdollar and #MadeInPakistan’. The initiative is aimed at convincing people to purchase made in Pakistan products and exchange the dollars with rupees to bring the country out of crisis. Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed has also become part of the campaign started by 92 News. He said that people should purchase local products. “The increase in the dollar rate is not good. Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif are responsible for increasing inflation in the country,” he said. Citizens said that it was their national duty to stand for the economy of the country. “We should purchase Pakistani products to bring down the import,” they opined. They said that the dollar rate would reduce if Pakistanis boycott it. An artificial crisis was caused due to its high demand in the market. One of the users asked the people to become patriot like the Turks. Some people burnt the dollars to show their patriotism. People said that by using local products and boycotting imported products the rupee would gain strengthen and as a result, the dollar rate would decrease. The examples of China are being quoted on the social media in favor of the campaign. The Chinese had preferred their local products and helped the government stabilize their economy. “Why are foreign products being purchased by the rich as status symbol when local products are much better in quality?” the citizens questioned. They said that local products would be acknowledged if it would be respected in the country.
