After Islamabad High Court, SC judges receive threatening letters

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - After the Islamabad High Court judges, the Supreme Court judges also received threatening letters on Wednesday.

According to sources, the threatening letters received the powder-mixed letters were received by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Mandokhel and Justice Shahid Waheed.

The sources said that the letters were received in the Supreme Court on April 1. "All the letters carried threatening shapes and powder. The letters have been handed over to the Counter Terrorism Department," they added.

Meanwhile, four judges of the Lahore High Court also received threatening letter on Wednesday. According to sources, the letters have been sent to Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan, Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Aliya Neelum.

The police have started investigations after taking the courier employee into custody.
