Barrister Gohar Ali elected PTI chairman unopposed in intra-party elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Barrister Gohar Ali was elected the PTI chairman unopposed in the intra-party elections on Saturday.

Umar Ayub will be the central secretary general of the PTI. Meanwhile, Dr Yasmin Rashid and Ali Amin Gandapur have been elected the presidents in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa respectively.

On the other hand, Haleem Adil Sheikh and Munir Ali have been elected as president in Sindh and Balochistan.

Talking to the media after being elected as PTI chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali said that they have not seen such elections of any party since 1960. "The PTI founder did not promote the family politics by electing me. We will implement the decisions of the PTI founder. The voice of the people should be heard. We will have to take the country ahead," he maintained.
