ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and country’s economy cannot go side by side.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly on Tuesday, he said that abolition of the NAB was the manifesto of the prime minister and the PPP. “Probably the biggest supporter of the NAB will also support an end to it. The NAB is an institution for defaming politicians and doing political engineering,” he maintained.

Bilawal Bhutto said that it was not problem of the people who should stay in jail and who should not. “The people’s problem is inflation and poverty. The government will have to talk to all if it wants to make the National Economic Charter,” he added.

He said that there was no solution to the issues except the Charter of Economy. “We have advised the prime minister to take personal interest in the solar energy sector. We will have to pay attention to domestic energy instead of imported energy,” he added.

The PPP chairman said that the inclusion of the opposition’s proposals in the budget would be economic and political victory.
