Caretaker Interior Minister Gohar Ijaz assures complete security during elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Caretaker Interior Minister Gohar Ijaz has said complete security will be provided during the general elections.

Addressing a press conference along with Information Minister Murtaza Solangi on Tuesday, he declared that no power in the world can stop the conduct of the free and fair elections.

"No decision has been made to suspend the internet service anywhere in the country. There were several rumours about the conduct of the general elections. The country faces a threat from those seeking instability," he added.

Information Minister Murtaza Solangi said that the people cannot be intimidated by a few incidents. "The elections will be peaceful. 120 million people will cast their votes to elect public representatives of their choice to run the affairs of the state as envisaged in the constitution," he added.

He said that security arrangements had been finalized in Balochistan.
