ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has demanded the extradition of terrorists from Afghanistan.

Addressing a press conference before departure for Uzbekistan on Wednesday, he said that illegal immigrants were involved in spreading unrest in the country.

"The threatening statements of the Afghan leaders on the repatriation of illegal immigrants are very regrettable. We provided information to the Afghan authorities that terrorists are using the Afghan soil. We decided to rectify the affairs when the Afghan government did not take any step," he added.

The prime minister said that cross-border terrorism in Pakistan had increased by 60 per cent after the Afghan interim government. "A significant increase in terrorists has been witnessed in Pakistan after the threatening statements of the Afghan leaders. Over 2,000 people have martyred in the cross-border terrorism in two years," he added.

The PM said that it was Pakistan's right to send illegal immigrants back. "We will not accept anyone's interference. "Pakistan has supported Afghanistan in every difficulty, but unfortunately no such response came from them. Now we are implementing our policy which should have been done a long time ago. We are sending the voluntary immigrants with respect. About 250,000 people have returned so far," he maintained.

He said that an inquiry was going on against the people who went abroad on fake passports. "Benami property is closely related to terrorism. Illegal immigrants play a major role in spreading unrest in the country," he added. The prime minister clarified that the incidents of terrorism have nothing to do with the election.

Caretaker PM Kakar said that Indian's RAW is responsible for terrorism in Pakistan. "Social media accounts are its proof. A RAW account gave information about the attack on the Mianwali airbase a night before. Accounts linked to RAW on X started broadcasting their achievement a night before the incident. At the time of the attack and during the clearance operation, these accounts continued to broadcast such videos made through the mobile phones of terrorists," he disclosed.

He said that there was no pressure on him. "America or another country cannot pressurize us. An action was taken against the Sri Lankan board on the poor performance of the Sri Lankan team. But here extension has been granted. We did not want the action to affect the performance of the team. A new government will come after three months, which will look into the matter of the cricket board," he maintained.
