COAS Qamar Bajwa visits Northern Light Infantryman Battalion along LOC

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Northern Light Infantryman (NLI) Battalion along the Line of Control (LOC) on Saturday. According to the ISPR, the COAS hailed state of operational readiness, high morale and motivation of the troops. COAS, Qamar, Bajwa, Northern Light Infantryman, Battalion, LOC He appreciated a befitting response to provocative Indian fire despite restraints on Pakistan Army due to safety and security of Kashmiris along the LOC. COAS Qamar Bajwa said: “We are well aware of defence and security challenges being faced by the country and we are capable to defeat all threats 'irrespective of the front'.” Commander Rawalpindi Corps also accompanied COAS Qamar Bajwa.
COAS appreciates FF Regiment’s contributions, sacrifices
Earlier on April 30, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Frontier Force Regimental Centre, Abbottabad. During his visit, the army chief installed Lieutenant General Aamir Abbasi as Colonel Commandant of the FF Regiment, said the ISPR. Upon arrival the Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa laid floral wreath at martyr’s monument to pay homage to the martyrs of the regiment. Outgoing Colonel of Frontier Force Regiment Lieutenant General Ghayur Mahmood Awan, large number of serving and retired officers and soldiers attended the ceremony, read the statement. The ISPR further stated that the army chief appreciated the contributions and sacrifices of Frontier Force for the defence of motherland during conventional as well as in war against terrorism.
Armed forces will ensure defence of homeland with bravery: COAS
Earlier today, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited troops of Lahore Corps at Chunian and Kasur and of Mangla Corps at Tilla Field Firing Ranges.

According to the ISPR, he also witnessed the exercises of the jawans of Lahore and Mangla Corps.

Speaking on the occasion, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the brave armed forces of Pakistan will defend the motherland at all costs with the support of people. “The armed forces will ensure defence of the homeland with bravery and valour,” he said. The COAS appreciated the high standard of morale and operational preparedness of the troops.
