Country faces structural issues, all decisions being made in view of financial limit: Finance minister

KARACHI (92 News) - Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that are structural issues in the country and the government is making all decisions keeping in view the financial limit.

He expressed these views during a meeting with the members of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday.

The minister said that the country will have to come out of the balance of payment issue. “The interest rate can further be decreased. We hope that the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will further decrease it. We will have to take exports to US$4 billion per month,” he added.

The minister said that steps were being taken for rightsizing in the ministries. “Refunds worth Rs50 billion were issued last year,” he added.
