Court declares plea about Imran Khan-Bushra Bibi nikkah non-maintainable

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The district and sessions judge declared the plea about the nikkah of PTI chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi as non-maintainable.

Announcing the reserved verdict, the court ruled that the plea was out of its domain.

The petitioner's counsel stated that Bushra Bibi was divorced in November and her nikkah was solemnized during 'Idat' in January, which was illegal. "It is a fraud to say that he will become the prime minister if the nikkah was solemnized on the first day of 2018. Why was the second nikkah solemnized if the first one was legal?" he questioned.

The court ruled that Imran Khan's nikkah was solemnized in Lahore. "How it comes under its domain?"

After hearing the arguments, the court had reserved the judgement.
