Death due to torture: Medical board formed for exhumation of teenage maid

KHAIRPUR (92 News) - On the orders of the Ranipur magistrate, the Sindh DH Health formed a four-member medical board for exhumation of the teenage maid Fatima who died due to torture in the 'haveli' of Pir Asad Shah.

The PMS medical superintendent will head the board, while a forensic expert, a professor of Pathology and the Noshehro Feroze DHO will be its members.

The Khairpur SSP had submitted an application to the magistrate seeking permission for exhumation of the victim.

Meanwhile, the police have set up a temporary picket after suspicious activity around the grave of the victim.

The victim's mother alleged that the accused had tried to disappear the body after the exhumation orders. She said that more girls are still present in the 'haveli' of Syed Fiaz Shah.
