Eight including three children die in road mishaps in Punjab
LAHORE (92 News) - Eight people including three children lost their lives in three road accidents in Lahore and Mianwali on late Wednesday and early Thursday, police and rescuers said.
A woman and her three children were killed after a speeding tractor-trolley hit a bike they were riding in Gujjar Colony Kot Lakhpat.
Kotlakhpat police said the three victims who were transported to a near-by hospital were pronounced dead upon arrival.
Three people were killed after a rashly-driven bus hit a motorcycle rickshaw on Sargodha Road in Mianwali.
The deceased identified as Iqbal, Zohra and Akmal belonged to Mohalla Yaro Khail.
They succumbed to their wounds at the district hospital.
A motorcyclist died after he fell from a bridge after being knocked down by a car in Raiwind.
The car was impounded by police.
Police shifted the bodies to the mortuaries of the hospitals' concerned and initiated legal actions.
Robbers kill youth
A 22-year-old youth was killed in a shooting incident in Iqbal Town in early hours of Thursday.
The family told police that some robbers shot and killed Ehtisham who offered resistance during a house robbery.
Police shifted the body for autopsy and began investigation.
