Every public institution is accountable to public: CJP Qazi Faez Isa

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has said that each public institution is accountable to public.

Addressing a seminar on Saturday, he said that the institution affiliated to the federal government are bound to provide information. "It is the right of each citizen and accountability starts from information. Now no one can be blamed on the basis of misunderstanding," he added.

The CJP said that he was trying to dispose of as much cases as possible in minimum time. "The SC disposed of 540 cases this month, while 337 new cases were filed during the current month," he added.

He said that he had ordered the live hearing of cases in the full court on day one. "The SC's quarterly report has been uploaded on the website," he added.

CJP Qazi Faez Isa said that the SC was constructing a monument for taking pictures, which would remain opened for the public. "Earlier, the people used to take memorial pictures while standing on roads," he maintained.
