Foreign dacoit gang involved in looting Sikh yatrees held: police

LAHORE (92 News) - The Organized Crime Unit on Tuesday arrested a dacoit gang comprising of foreigners involved in looting Sikh yatrees.

Addressing a press conference, Organized Crime Unit SP Aftab Phularwan told the media that three accused, including a woman, worked for a secret foreign agency.

He said that after the robbery, the accused identified as Shahrukh, Rehana Shahrukh and Muhammad Irfan, used to inform the foreign agency to damage the credibility of Pakistan. "The accused in police uniform used to rob the Sikh yatrees on the pretext of frisking them and fled. The Organized Crime Unit foiled the plan successfully by using modern technology," he disclosed.

SP Aftab Phularwan said that the police uniform, a wireless set and a pistol had been recovered from the accused.
