LAHORE (92 News) - Former federal minister Humayun Akhtar joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference after a meeting with Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan, he said that it was impossible to remain in the PTI after the May 9 incidents.

"The people in the IPP want to resolve the problems of Pakistan," he added.

IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Tareen said that they wanted to bring Pakistan out of crises and economic progress in the country.

Lauding the SC verdict, Jahangir Tareen said that his party would contest the general elections vigorously across the country. "All are rumours that which party is popular and which is not. The decision will be of the people," he maintained.

Aleem Khan said that the dialogues with the PML-N are going on, but no alliance has been forged with it. "We will not do the politics gaining seats by sacrificing others," he declared.
