Funeral prayers of cops martyred by unidentified attackers offered

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The funeral prayers of two policemen – who martyred by unidentified attackers – were offered at Police Lines in Islamabad. Minister for Interior Ijaz Shah among many other high level officials attended the funeral ceremony. They were laid to rest their native areas. One injured personnel during the firing incident is under treatment in the hospital. On the other hand, Inspector general of Police Islamabad (IGP) Aamir Zulfiqar Khan has taken notice of the incident and formed two teams for investigations. He directed the teams to trace to the killers by utilizing all resources. On Wednesday, two policemen were martyred and another injured when unidentified attackers opened fire on them at a roadblock in Sabzi Mandi police limits. The martyred policemen are Khurram and Saqlain. The injured cop has been shifted to PIMS for treatment. The attackers reached the roadblock on foot and fled after killing the cops. However, the attackers managed to escape. The police have sealed the site and started investigations.
