IHC rejects NAB plea to remand back Al-Azizia reference, adjourns case until Dec 12

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday rejected the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) plea to remand back the Al-Azizia reference to the accountability court.

The NAB prosecutor had appealed to the court to remand back the reference, saying that there will be some shortcoming even the case is decided on merit.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remarked that the court will decide the appeal after reviewing the additional evidences. He also reprimanded Azam Nazir Tarar for movement in court.

Justice Gull Hassan Aurangzeb remarked that the NAB had accused Nawaz Sharif of the Benami property, asking the counsels to inform the court about some transactions.

Meanwhile, the court accepted Nawaz Sharif's plea not to pursue the judge video scandal case and disposed of it. Later, the court adjourned the Al-Azizia reference until December 12.
