IHC stays proceedings of audio leak investigation team against Saqib Nisar's son

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday stayed the proceedings of the audio leak investigation team against Najamul Saqib, son of former chief justice Saqib Nisar.

The court also suspended the summon in this regard. The court questioned that by whom these audios are recorded. "Under which power the special committee issued the notice?"

The court ordered the federal government to submit a reply in this regard by June 19.

Latif Khosa, counsel for the petitioner, stated that the audio leak was recorded allegedly between two private people. "The National Assembly and the Speaker have no right to look into a private matter," he contended.
