IMF agreement completed despite all concerns, tweets Khawaja Asif

SIALKOT (92 News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreement was completed despite all concerns.

In a tweet on Friday, he said that hopes of several well-wishers were shattered. "The persons whose hopes have been shattered include friends and enemies," he added.

Khawaja Asif said that the IMF agreement only provides a respite for recovery from economic diseases. "We ourselves have to do the full cure," he maintained.

Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that the IMF agreement is an ointment for their economic challenges. "The agreement will stabilize the rupee, help control inflation and attract foreign investment," he hoped.
