Imran Khan, KP CM discuss overall situation
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan called on Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday.
During the meeting, they discussed overall situation including matters pertaining to the province.
The prime minister expressed concerns over the delay in BRT protect and asked him to get completed the project as soon as possible. He said that the cause behind the project was to facilitate the masses.
He also underscored the need for bringing the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) into the mainstream. He said that people in tribal areas should be provided relief by establishing judicial and policing system there.
PM Imrna Khan urged the provincial ministers to monitor the performance of their respective departments. He also warned the gas companies to refund excessive bills to consumers.
KP CM Mahmood Khan told the prime minister that he himself monitoring the BRT project and assured that the project would be inaugurated soon.
Trade, investment important pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy: PM
Earlier today, PM Imran Khan has said trade and investment is an important pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
PM Khan said while talking to a delegation of business community leaders in Islamabad on Monday. He also has said the government is also working on a comprehensive plan to encourage non tax payers and informal sectors join the documented economy.
In this regard, the prime minister invited the business community to give their input and recommendations. He said our focus is now on promotion of growth of economy after overcoming the most difficult challenge of stabilizing the economy during first six months.
“There is positive sentiment amongst the international community towards economy of the country which needs to be capitalized,” PM Imran Khan said.
