Imran Khan says he invited govt to talks for sake of country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI chairman Imran Khan said that he had invited the government to the talks for the sake of the country.

Talking to the media informally on Wednesday, he said that presently there is no option except elections. "The government and the establishment are the same things. The establishment is running the government," he added.

The PTI chairman said that his talks were going on with Gen (retd) Bajwa and he was asking him to hold the elections.

"The way the people are leaving the party is just blackmailing. It should be decided that whether the country will be run as per the constitution or through the baton," he added.

He denied the rumours about his estrangement with President Arif Alvi.

Meanwhile, the court extended the interim bail of Imran Khan till June 5 in the £190 million corruption case.
