RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has said if Maulana Fazlur Rehman stands with democracy, it is a good thing.

Speaking to the media on the occasion of the hearing of the £190 million reference, the PTI founder says that the economy cannot be stable without political stability in the country.

He said the government is still trying to complete numbers in the Parliament to give extension to three ‘umpires’, adding they are yet to come up with the amendment.

He said no one has faith in the subordinate judiciary and the police, adding people have hopes only from the Supreme Court, which is being destroyed.

He asked the PTI workers to go to the Lahore Jalsa after ‘burning their boats’.

The PTI founder claimed the constitutional amendments are being introduced because the ruling coalition played in connivance with four umpires and still lost.

“Among these empires are Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) chief justice, and the chief election commissioner (CEC),” he alleged.

“Efforts are being made to give an extension to them so that the election fraud could be protected,” he added.

To a question that the constitutional amendments have now been reversed, he said they have not been reversed at all, adding efforts are still being made to bring these amendments.

To another question about the role of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the PTI founder said he cannot say anything about it.

At this, the journalist said: “This means you are not clear about Maulana Sahib?”

The PTI founder replied, “All political forces have to unite for democracy. If Maulana stands with democracy, it is a good thing.”
