Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab announces resignation

KARACHI (92 News) - Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab announced to resign on Monday.
Addressing a press conference, he said that the metropolitan corporation being criticized had done the best work. "We did only work day and night. However, some people do not want improvement in the matters," he added.
Murtaza Wahab said that the law authorizes the metropolitan corporation to impose taxes. "Solution to all problems lies in following the law," he added.
He said that it was not easy to do public service in the city. "I am bound to the party decisions. Now everyone knows that you will be punished if you will do work," he added.
Murtaza Wahab said that today the dilapidated condition of the city is due to commercialization of roads. "I had decided to collect the tax through public limited company instead of a private company. Some people were opposed to the decision due to personal enmity," he added.
